Celebrating 115 years of excellence.
The school day of Holy Family Convent Bambalapitiya was held on Friday, the 2nd of February in celebration of our 115th anniversary. All students and teachers were gathered in the school quadrangle for the celebration of this special day. A prayer service was held for the adoration of the Holy Eucharist; in thanksgiving for the miraculous apparition in the Eucharist of 1822.
The second segment for the day was followed by the hoisting of the National flag by Rev. Sr. Deepa Fernando and the school flag by the head prefect Anjalee Wanduragala, in celebration of the Independence Day. Four candles were lit and passed down to four prefects representing each ethnicity, signifying unity and peace in the country.
The day was celebrated amidst the music, food and dancing.
