Ash Wednesday
Ash Wednesday mass celebrated to begin the Season of Lent
Today marks Ash Wednesday in the Catholic calendar, the day we as a Catholic school are reminded of our human mortality and the teaching “from dust you came and to dust you will return”, as well as the beginning of the Penitential Lent season, which is the season in which we commemorate the fasting of Christ in the wilderness, his passion and death, and as preparation for the Season of Easter.
The day was commemorated with Holy Mass celebrated by Rev. Fr. Udara, during which a special attention was paid to the concept of abstinence and sacrifice during Lent.
