CAREER DAY 2023

On 17th of August the “Career Guidance Team” with Ms Ellain Coonghe and Ms. Chaturi De Lanerolle of Holy Family Convent Bambalapitiya organized a Career Day for our Familians in order that they may better plan out this beforehand. This session was specially organized for the A/L students.

The programme was in two segments. The first segment of the day consisted of inspiring speeches, which were delivered by our own past Familians with successful careers. There were four speakers present at the event. They were Mrs. Kumudini Hettiarachchi an award-winning journalist and the Deputy Editor of The Sunday Times, Mrs. Lihini Fernando an attorney at law and politician, Mrs. Inshika De.S. Wijeyeratne an entrepreneur and Dr. Shanika Arsecularatne a cosmetic physician and also, the owner of Christell Clinic.

Their speeches were about how they faced difficulties in the journey of becoming who they are now. Stories of these four speakers were able to cover four different paths of future ambitions. Our students were able to gain many fruitful information for their life. And as for the end of the first segment a Q & A session was organized which our students actively participated and clarified their doubts.

The second segment was arranged for students to communicate with representatives from many universities in order that they could make themselves aware of the courses they offer in terms of their fields of interest.

In conclusion this event was a remarkable and successful event organized for students who were uncertain about their future, to get know the available sources of study to complete in the ever growing and changing world.
