The annual May Procession of 2017 which was scheduled to take place on 31st of May was postponed to the 7th of June because of the holidays given due to the disastrous situation in the country.
The school was decorated with garlands and bouquets of flowers to give honor to Mother Mary.
The day’s proceedings began with the children assembling on the quadrangle according to their classes. The members of the Legion of Mary recited the rosary and hymns were sung by the school choir. The children went in procession around the school and finally to the school chapel. The children were led by the western band of the school and the chariot carrying the statue of Mother Mary which was beautifully decorated with flowers was taken in procession to the chapel. The opportunity to venerate Mother Mary was given to each and every student. The most important item, crowning of Our Lady, was done by the Head Prefect of the school, amidst singing of hymns.
The offertory items brought in by each class were collected in aid of the flood victims.
The May Procession was a solemn event, completed successfully displaying pity and devotion to our Holy Mother.
