The Gavel Club at Holy Family Convent, Bambalapitiya, was inaugurated in 2013 and is dedicated to uplifting the public speaking and leadership skills of students. The club operates with the main objective of enhancing communication abilities and fostering confidence among its members. The teachers-in-charge of the Gavel Club are Ms. Annemarrie Swarnadhipathi Ms. Chemalie Fernando Mr. Nimantha Uthpala for the Junior Club and a dedicated team for the Senior Club. The Gavel Club provides a supportive environment where students can practice their speaking skills, engage in debates, and participate in various activities that promote leadership qualities.
