Celebrating the Birthday of Mother Mary
On a bright Monday morning, September 8th, 2025, the entire Holy Family Convent community gathered in the school quadrangle to celebrate a very special occasion—the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. As this day marks the birth of Mother Mary, it was a moment of deep reverence.
The Holy Mass, celebrated in the heart of our school grounds, brought together students and the staff in prayer and thanksgiving. With the serene morning light filtering through, the Mass was a beautiful reminder of the humility, grace, and strength that Mother Mary embodies. As girls of Holy Family, we look up to her not only as the mother of Jesus but also as our heavenly mother, a guiding light in our daily lives. Her virtues of obedience, compassion, and quiet strength are life lessons that continue to inspire us in our journey as young women of faith.
Following the celebration of the Eucharist, the students from the primary section made their way to the Grotto in a joyful procession. Each child carried a flower, which they offered lovingly at Mother Mary’s feet. With pure hearts and wide smiles, they sang and wished her a heartfelt “Happy Birthday,” filling the space with innocence, devotion, and love.
This special celebration reminded us of how important Mother Mary is in the Holy Family and in our own lives as Familians. May we always strive to follow her example of humility, simplicity, kindness, and unwavering faith.
“Gentle woman, quiet light, morning star so strong and bright.
Gentle mother, peaceful dove, teach us wisdom; teach us love.”
