Mental Wellbeing Programme Brings Joy and Awareness to HFC – 7th November 2025
Mental Wellbeing Programme Brings Joy and Awareness to HFC
Our school proudly hosted its very first Mental Wellbeing Programme on November 7, 2025, a truly memorable event organized by the HFC in collaboration with the School Counselor and the Administration. The programme was sponsored by the PPA Sydney together with Rev. Sr. Charitha Thandalge, whose guidance and support helped make the day a great success. The event ran from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., filling the school with energy, laughter, and positivity.
This one-of-a-kind initiative was specially designed to promote mental and physical wellbeing among students. The goal was to help students refresh their minds, relieve stress, and engage in fun, creative, and mindful activities. It was a much-needed break from routine academic schedules — giving everyone a chance to reconnect with themselves and their peers in a joyful, healthy environment.
The programme offered a variety of exciting categories and sessions, including yoga, zumba, dance, singing, drama, open mic, Pawsitive Vibes, painting, journalism, poetry, and stand-up comedy. Each activity encouraged students to express themselves freely while learning the importance of balance, creativity, and emotional health. The participation and enthusiasm from students were truly inspiring to see.
A special highlight of the day was the distribution of a journal book to students, encouraging them to reflect on their thoughts and experiences. This thoughtful gesture supported the main theme of the event — self-awareness and mindfulness. Many students expressed how much they enjoyed writing and how it helped them unwind and organize their thoughts.
Overall, the Mental Wellbeing Programme was a remarkable success and a proud milestone for our school. It stood out as an event like no other, marking the first time such a holistic wellbeing initiative was introduced in any school. Students not only enjoyed themselves but also gained valuable insight into the importance of mental health, positivity, and community spirit.
