Holy Family Convent is filled with pride to announce that our Under 17 Basketball team has emerged victorious as Champions of the All Island ‘A’ Division Basketball Tournament! The tournament, held from February 12th to 14th, 2025, at the MAGIS Basketball Court in Negombo and the Olympus Indoor Basketball Court in Malabe, witnessed an outstanding display of skill and teamwork from our talented basketball .

Our team showcased exceptional prowess throughout the tournament, ending in a thrilling victory against St. Bridget’s Convent in the final. This triumph stands as a testament to their unwavering dedication, relentless training, and remarkable team spirit.

Adding to the glory, Binuthi Jayasinghe was awarded the Most Valuable Player, and Anuki Abeypala received the Best Offensive Player award, recognizing their individual brilliance.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the entire championship-winning team: Venessa Fernando, Amaya Henry, Minali Silva, Binuthi Jayasinghe, Minulie Dabarera, Melissa Nanayakkara, Misheni Perera, Anuki Abeypala, Gimhani Rodrigo, Dulansa Fernando, Anaiah Rajan, and Liyensa De Silva.
