Suzanne Retains the Crown; Sebastian Makes a Historic Comeback as 1st Runners-Up
On the 13th of February 2026, the grounds of Police Park, Colombo 05 came alive with colour, determination, and uncontainable House spirit as Holy Family Convent, Bambalapitiya proudly held its Annual Inter-House Sports Meet. Under the blazing sun and before an enthusiastic gathering of students, staff, and well-wishers, the Familian spirit shone brighter than ever. Weeks of tireless practice, discipline, and dedication culminated in an afternoon that celebrated not only victory but resilience, teamwork, and excellence.
An evening already rich with spirit and celebration was elevated by the honourable presence of the Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo, Commander of the Army, whose attendance turned the occasion into one of true pride and remembrance.
The Western Band lit up the atmosphere with bold energy and vibrant flair, blending modern beats with timeless melodies, bringing charisma and rhythm to the celebration — reminding us that music is the heartbeat of every unforgettable event.
Draped in graceful blue osari, the Eastern Band added elegance and cultural pride, filling the evening with rich tradition and reminding us that culture is indeed the soul of every celebration.
The marching squads stood ready, perfect in step and proud in spirit. Their synchronized precision reflected hours of commitment and unity, not merely marching in rhythm, but marching towards excellence. A beautiful display of agility in motion unfolded across the field, where every leap, turn, and stride told a story of passion and perseverance. Strength met grace, speed met determination, and in those electrifying moments, sport transformed into pure inspiration.
